About the Product

Servo-Step Synchronous / Stepper Motors represent a fusion of two proven motion control technologies, engineered to deliver exceptional precision and operational versatility. Operating at low speeds with high torque output, these hybrid motors are well-suited to applications demanding fine, repeatable control.

When powered by AC, the motor operates as a synchronous motor, providing stable, consistent speed. When driven by DC pulses, it functions as a stepping motor, offering precise incremental movement. This dual-mode capability reduces equipment complexity by eliminating the need for separate motor types or additional gear trains.

The compact, robust design makes these motors well-suited to a wide range of industrial applications — from the precise movement of large hydraulic and pneumatic systems to the sophisticated motion control required in pharmaceutical and glass manufacturing environments.

Key Features

Dual-Mode AC/DC Operation

Functions as a synchronous motor on AC supply for stable speed operation, and as a stepping motor on DC pulses via a translator — eliminating the need for separate motor types.

200 Steps Per Revolution

Provides 1.8° per step, enabling highly granular positioning without encoder feedback. Ideal for precise linear and rotary motion control.

High Torque at Low Speed

Compact form factor delivers torque output comparable to much larger conventional motors, reducing the need for additional gear systems.

No Inrush Current

On AC supply, the motor exhibits instant start-stop-reverse characteristics with no inrush current at start or high current when stalled — protecting the motor and extending service life.

Bi-directional Operation

Operates in both directions on AC or DC, making it suitable for applications requiring controlled reversible motion.

Digital Drive Compatible

Compatible with digital drives and solid-state translators, simplifying integration into modern automation and control systems.

Applications

These motors serve a broad range of control system applications wherever precise, repeatable motion is required.

  • Remote operation of large hydraulic and pneumatic valves
  • CNC machine motion control and positioning
  • Printing machine feed and registration control
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment
  • Glass product manufacturing machinery
  • Precision linear motion control systems
  • Industrial automation and process control
  • Robotics and pick-and-place systems
